Pyridoxal-5’-Phosphate is also called P5P or Activated B6.
Pyridoxal-5’-Phosphate is predominant form of circulating B6. It is the active metabolite of pyridoxine and is the predominant form of plasma B6. High plasma B6 levels from the improper metabolism of Vitamin B6 is one of the Causes of Peripheral Neuropathy, and P5P can help to metabolize Vitamin B6 out of the bloodstream and into the cells where it can be metabolized by the body.

Vitamin B6 is required for many different body functions, and P5P is the form required for those with methylation problems or the MTHFR Genetic Mutation.
